CHOP Prayer Rooms

Need a place to hear God's heart...a space to pray/worship with others? 

You are welcome, any time of the day or night

We're not kidding, we are open 24/7. We encourage group prayer just as much as solo prayer. Bring your friends and start a prayer movement for your dorm, major, team, fraternity, sorority, campus ministry, church, business, neighborhood, community...whatever! 

We encourage you to schedule a prayer slot

or request an event space

The standard prayer slot commitment is one hour per week per semester. This is a great way to get into a rhythm of connecting with God and to pray for campus transformation or something He has put on your heart for this season. We also can accommodate groups of 25-50 for a special event.

You will need a Prayer Room Entry code. After we receive your prayer room/event request form, we’ll (1) arrange to meet with you personally (if we haven’t already), then issue you an entry code, along with important guidelines and security instructions - please familiarize yourself with these so your experience in the prayer rooms will be enjoyable and safe for everyone who uses our space!

Prayer Walking Events

Prayer-walking is simply “praying onsite with insight” - praying with spontaneity in the very settings we expect God’s presence to be manifested and prayers answered. Knox CHOP offers periodic opportunities for you to prayer walk at UT (and even across greater Knoxville) with a small group of intercessors. Prayer walks usually last between an hour and a half to two hours, including de-brief time to share perceptions and other insights gained during your walk. Expressing something of your gained insights and faith will encourage others as well as yourself, especially as we see our prayers answered!
